Who are Carma Adventures?
Hey there! We’re Carol and Max, a fun-loving couple with a passion for exploring the world together. Carol's from Brazil, and Max brings a mix of Spanish and Scottish vibes—so you could say travel runs in our blood!
On July 1, 2024, we made the exciting decision to leave behind the 9-to-5 grind and quit our corporate jobs. We wanted to create memories together without the restrictions of living someone else's dream. Now, we live by Mae West’s quote, “You only live once; but if you do it right, once is enough” and we’re all about embracing adventure and making the most of every moment as we travel the globe.
Our mission with Carma Adventures is to create unforgettable memories together and inspire you to live life to the fullest, follow your dreams, and craft epic stories that last a lifetime.
Our Journey
We started dating in December 2020, while studying at Oxford Brookes University. Since then, our shared passion for travel inspired us to create Carma Adventures. What started as a simple digital diary to capture our adventures quickly turned into something bigger. We found a real joy in sharing the love of exploration and all the incredible places we discover together.
Our first trip was to Spain to meet Max's family, and that’s when we really got hooked on planning trips. In 2021, we uploaded our first YouTube video after winning a raffle for a free stay at a 5-star hotel in Oxford, which sparked our interest in recording our memories and sharing our adventures with all of you.
Fast forward to 2024, when we started investing more time into travelling and content creation. It hit us that our corporate jobs were holding us back from our true passion and calling. So, we made the risky decision to quit our jobs to travel the world. Talk about a game-changer! We set off with the idea of backpacking through Asia for 6 months, but that plan has now turned into a mission to travel the world before we hit our 30s.
